Lucia Miranda interviewed 40 people in 3 cities in Spain and conducted a workshop at the Cuéntalo Festival of Logroño and a round table at the Teatro de La Abadía to write this verbatim documentary piece. Twenty-eight characters and five choruses, played by five actors, speak to us about something as simple and complex as the word “house” (“casa”).

An architect who built more than 500 homes but who will leave his daughter, as her inheritance, the foundations of a courtyard house; a boy who has lived half his life in a residence for minors; a young Venezuelan refugee woman who got asylum thanks to a song by Nirvana; a man with functional diversity who struggles for independence; and a PAH (anti-eviction platform) activist with whom we fall in love in Paris; these are the protagonists of Casa.

In a space reminiscent of a movie set, their stories intersect to form one tale. Casa is an intergenerational story, posing a question about article 47 of the Constitution and about the way home.
