EL HIJO DE LA NOVIA
Stage version of a movie
Commissioned by Teatro Sánchez Aguilar of Ecuador, the story is originally one of the most emblematic movies of Argentina’s filmography, nominated for an Oscar in the category of best foreign film.
It tells the love story of Norma and Nino, a couple who have been together for forty-eight years, and their son, the manager of the family restaurant. He is divorced and has a daughter and a girlfriend who is younger than him; he is oblivious to his mother’s Alzheimer’s disease.
It is a comedy that addresses care of the elderly and raises awareness about the disease. The show was accompanied by conferences and discussions about Alzheimer’s.
